Professional Bio:
Jennifer Meyerowitz is a Vice President and Director of Business Development at Epiq Systems. Ms. Meyerowitz’s primary responsibility is to spearhead the development and execution of Epiq’s business development and client relations initiatives and to introduce Epiq’s wide array of service offerings to a broader client base.
Previous Professional Experience:
Ms. Meyerowitz joined Epiq in 2008 as A Vice President and Senior Consultant, where she assisted clients in case management, schedule and SOFA preparation, communication and call center management, claims reconciliation and other matters. Prior to joining Epiq, Ms. Meyerowitz spent ten years as an attorney in the Bankruptcy, Reorganizations and Workouts Practice Group of Alston & Bird, LLP., where she represented debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees and trustees in complex and out-of-court workouts, debt restructurings and Chapter 11 proceedings.
Education/Professional Associations:
Ms. Meyerowitz received her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where she was Executive Notes & Comments Editor of Bankruptcy Developments Journal, and her B.A., with distinction, from the University of Michigan. She is admitted to practice in Georgia and she is the Chair-Elect of the Bankruptcy Section of the Atlanta Bar Association. She is currently the Vice-Chair of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation and the Co-Founder, Past Chair and Current Board Member of its Georgia Network division. She also serves on various committees of the Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
Publications/Case Experience:
Ms. Meyerowitz has written various articles on bankruptcy law and related issues and is a frequent lecturer and panelist on such issues. Ms. Meyerowitz has worked on major cases including Chrysler LLC, AbitibiBowater, Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation, Capmark Financial, CCS Medical, Journal Register Company, TitleMax, TLC Vision, Sea Launch, Swoozies, Sea Island, among others.
