Conferences & Events IWIRC’s 4th Spring Luncheon Join us in Washington, D.C. for IWIRC’s 4th Spring Luncheon and Founders Awards to be held 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2007, featuring keynote speaker Nina Totenberg, National Public Radio's award-winning legal affairs correspondent. Please note the luncheon is being held at the Renaissance Hotel, 999 Ninth Street NW. Buses will transport attendees from the J.W. Marriott to the Renaissance at 10:30 a.m. Bus transportation back to the J.W. Marriott will also be provided after the luncheon. Save the Date - June 21, IWIRC Woman of the Year Award “How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes.” - Maya Angelou. We couldn’t agree more with Maya Angelou hence this reminder to think about your nomination for the 2nd annual IWIRC Woman of the Year award. The WOYR award recognizes women in the insolvency professional who are making extraordinary contributions. The call for nominations will go out in mid-April, the recipient announced end of May and the award presented at the Corporate Reorganization Conference in Chicago on June 21st. Who’s your she-ro? SAVE THE DATE-IWIRC’s 14th Annual Fall Conference, October 9-10;12 IWIRC’s Annual Fall Conference will be held in conjunction with NCBJ’s 81st Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida at the Orlando World Center Marriott. Our opening reception will be held on Tuesday, October 9 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. On Wednesday, October 10th, the program committee has scheduled an informative panel on International Topics followed by a presentation on “International Etiquette” presented by Terri Morrison, author of Kiss, Bow or Shake Hands. Following the panel sessions, there will be smaller breakout discussions to discuss topics of interest. The October 10th event then concludes with IWIRC’s famous “round-robin” luncheon! On Friday, October 12th from 2:30-4:30, IWIRC will once again sponsor an entertaining keynote speaker for NCBJ attendees and their guests-if you missed last year’s event, don’t miss out this year!
